‘Suddenly Single After 50’ Signing & Launch in St. Louis

We are excited to announce to our friends and supporters that the evite for our first major book launch and signing of Suddenly Single After  50: The Girlfriends’ Guide to Navigating Loss, Restoring Hope, and Rebuilding Your Life,” Rowman & Littlefield  will arrive in your inboxes Tuesday, October 4.

The event will be held in St. Louis (the city where we both lived when we lost our spouses) on Thursday, Dec. 1, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at the Schlafly Library to be hosted by Left Bank Books. This will be no ordinary signing. Held in a Q&A format, it will be moderated by Tom Ackerman, KMOX sports director, a family friend who, as a young child, lost his father and watched how his mother coped with loss. We will welcome questions from the audience and sign copies that may be purchased either at the event or online through Left Bank Books or on Amazon. Just click on one of the boxes at the bottom of the evite to order. And RSVP to either Margaret or Barbara at whooping@aol.com or bb@barbaraballinger.com.

Please come and hear our stories, which we share with honesty, hurt, humor, and helpful tips that offer a road map to deal with specific issues such as finances, dating, aging, and even death. We continue to offer help and ideas in our weekly blog, www.lifelessonsat50plus.com, in speeches, and in articles. The book has been featured in the print media, including most recently in Business Week and on various blogs. We will also be interviewed about the book in St. Louis on KMOX and KWMU. So tune in. And Barbara is traveling to Buffalo later this month to talk about the book, and then in November to various locations in New York.

Hopefully you can join us. This is the one book resource anyone divorced or widowed should need. We ask that you spread the word about the signing to your friends and family by forwarding the evite; all are welcome.  We think you will enjoy this special way of introducing our book to a St. Louis audience.
